Rhéal LeBlanc, 83, of Grand-Barachois, formerly of Petit-Cap, died peacefully at home on Sunday, November 13, 2022, after a courageous battle with cancer. Born in Petit-Cap, he was the son of the late Aimé and Suzanne (Allain) LeBlanc.

Prior to his retirement, he was a fisherman and entrepreneur as the owner and operator of R. J. LeBlanc Trust Manufacturing.

He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Géraldine, five brothers: Jean-Paul (late Rosalie) of Halifax NS, Napoléon (Clara) of Cap-Pelé, Eusèbe (Lorenza) of Petit-Cap, Paul-Aimé (Karen) of Avondale NS, Éverard (Francine) of Bas-Cap-Pelé; a sister, Norma Jacob (Omer) of Cap-Pelé and a sister-in-law, Lorena of Shemogue. He also leaves to mourn several cousins, nieces, and nephews as well as friends.

He was predeceased by three brothers: Bernard (2020), Normand and young Joseph as well as two sisters-in-law: Aurore and Rosalie.

We are so lucky to have had him in our lives. He was a man who enjoyed helping people around him and serving his community. He loved being in the presence of the people who were dear to him. He had a knack for making people feel comfortable from his very first interactions with them.

Special thanks to Dr. Ève St-Hilaire, Dr. Bazinet, and the Shediac Unit team (extra-mural program).

The family will receive condolences at Frenette Funeral and Cremation Centre, 2642 Acadie Road, Cap-Pelé, on Thursday, November 17 from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. only. The funeral will be celebrated at Ste-Thérèse d'Avila Church on Friday, November 18 at 10:30 a.m.

In memory of Rhéal, a contribution to the St-Timothée cemetery in Shemogue or to the Tree of Hope would be appreciated.
