Gérard Dupuis, 80, of Grand Barachois, passed away on Sunday, October 23rd, 2022, at the Dr. Georges-L. Dumont UHC. Born in Barachois, he was the son of the late Arthur and Ernestine (Roy) Dupuis.
Prior to his retirement, Gérard worked many years for Tédiche Building Supplies. His passion was tending to and planting beautiful flowers. He was proud of his garden. Gérard also loved to visit with his children, granddaughter, and great-granddaughter.
He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Doris, née Auffrey; his two children: Paul (Liette) of Dieppe and Lisa (René) of Moncton; a granddaughter, Jennifer (Jason) and a great-granddaughter, Faith; his two sisters: Elizabeth Richard (late Laurie) and Rachelle Goguen (late Désiré) both of Cocagne and by several nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by four sisters: Jeannette (at a young age), Anna Cormier, Hélène Cormier, and Huberte Gagnon; five brothers: Hervé, Robert, Roger, Alfred, and Normand.
The family wished to extend their sincere gratitude toward the staff of the Dr. Georges-L. Dumont UHC for the excellent care provided to Gérard.
The family will receive condolences at Frenette Funeral and Cremation Centre, 396 Main Street, Shediac on Friday, October 28th from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. and from 7 p.m. till 9 p.m. only. The funeral mass will be celebrated at St-Henri de Barachois R. C. church, 1356 route 133, Grand-Barachois on Saturday, October 29th at 10:30 a.m.
The funeral mass will be videotaped. The video will be available on Gérard’s obituary on our website www.frenettefuneralhome.com. by the end of the day.
In memory of Gérard, a contribution to the Canadian Diabetes Association would be appreciated.
