It is with great sadness that the family of Léa
LeBlanc announces her passing at the CHU Dr. Georges-L. Dumont after a
short illness, on October 23, 2022, at the age of 78. Born in Shediac,
she was the daughter of the late Arthur and Adélina
Boudreau.
In addition to being devoted to her family and friends,
Léa was involved in her community. She was a member of the
Boudreau Office Women's Institute and the parish council, among
others. After a long career in primary education, Léa
always kept busy with her many hobbies including camping, gardening,
knitting and puzzles. She was known for her talents as a cook and
seamstress.
She is survived by her husband, Léo-Paul; her two
daughters: Anne LeBlanc-Landry (Michel) of Shediac and Caroline
LeBlanc of Saint John, NB; one sister Stella Vautour (Valery) of
Dieppe; two sisters-in-law: Lorraine Auffrey of Dieppe and Claudette
Richard of Notre-Dame as well as several nieces and
nephews.
The family will receive condolences at Frenette Funeral and
Cremation Centre, 396 Main Street, Shediac, on Wednesday, October 26
from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. and Thursday, October 27 from 1 p.m. to 2:45
p.m. The funeral will be celebrated at St-Joseph Church, 415 Main
Street, Shediac at 3:00 p.m.
At the request of the family, the face covering
is suggested to enter the funeral center and the
church.
In memory of Léa, a contribution to the Tree of
Hope would be appreciated.
