Surrounded by her family at Albert House in Moncton, on Saturday October 8, 2022, at the age of 67, passed away Carmélia Boudreau of Boudreau Ouest. Originally from Néguac, she was the daughter of the late André and Anna (Robichaud) Caissie.
She is survived by her children: Anna-Michèle Boudreau (Jérémie) and Karelle-Anne Boudreau all of Boudreau-Ouest; her siblings: Roméo Caissie (Suzanne) of Shawinigan (QC), Irène Caissie of Shediac, Ginette Caissie of Shediac, Jean-Marie Caissie of Néguac, Jeanne Thibodeau (Bernard) of Fairisle, Carole Savoie (Bertrand) of St.- Wilfred, Lise Caissie (André) of Fairisle, Gilles Caissie (Marceline) of Beresford and Stéphane Caissie (Jeannine) of Dieppe; her mother-in-law: Thérèse Boudreau of Boudreau-Ouest; as well as several nephews, nieces and grandchildren of her family.
Carmélia was predeceased by her husband, Irois (2004)
She began her career as a teacher at the Polyvalente W-A Losier in Tracadie where she taught for 10 years and then transferred to the Polyvalente Clément-Cormier school in Bouctouche, where she taught for 22 years and ended her career with adult education for the department of Social Development. She was a very involved teacher with the school boards and association throughout her career.
She was very active in the community throughout her life; marriage preparation course, board of directors of the credit union, board of directors of the CO-OP, catechesis teacher, Knights of Columbus (volunteer), Women's Institute, Association of Retired Teachers of New Brunswick.
The family will receive condolences at Frenette Funeral and Cremation Centre, 396 Main Street, Shediac, on Wednesday, October 12, 2022 from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. and Thursday, October 13, 2022 from 10 a.m. to 10:45 a.m. The funeral service will be celebrated at Frenette Funeral Centre Chapel, 396 Main Street, Shediac, on Thursday October 13, 2022 at 11:00 a.m. Interment will be in St. Joseph Cemetery, Shediac.
In memory of Carmélia, a contribution to the Albert House, Moncton or to the CHU Dumont Foundation (Dialysis) would be appreciated by the family.
