Arthur Gautreau, 93, of Gallagher Ridge, passed away on Thursday October 6, 2022 at The Moncton Hospital. Born in Notre-Dame, he was the son of the late Tilmon and Évangéline (Lirette) Gautreau.

Prior to his retirement, Arthur was a foreman at the Magnetic Hill Game Farm.

He will be lovingly remembered by his nine children: Jack (Sharon) of Petitcodiac, Patricia McLean (late Bruce) of Moncton, Léa Jones (Gary) of Boundary Creek, Theresa Arsenault (Walter), Millie Maillet (Johny McNeil), Paul (late Eveline), Dan, Corinne Crossman (Bob), and Rob (Debbie), all of Moncton; two daughters-in-law: Cindy and Jan; 27 grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren and seven great-great-grandchildren; as well as his nieces, and nephews.

Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his wife, Virginia Chase (2006); two sons: Donald and Carl; one step-brother, Roy.

The family wishes to express their sincere gratitude towards the staff of 5200 and Palliative Care at The Moncton Hospital for their exceptional care provided to Arthur during his stay.

The family will receive condolences at Frenette Funeral and Cremation Centre, 88 Church Street, Moncton (858-1900) Tuesday from 7 to 9 pm and Wednesday from 9:30 am until time of departure (10:45). The funeral mass will be celebrated at St. Augustine R.C. Church, 330 Dominion Street, Moncton on Wednesday October 12 at 11 am. Interment will be at Our Lady of Calvary cemetery in Dieppe. In memory of Arthur, a contribution to the Alzheimer Society would be appreciated.
