Rita LeBlanc, 89, of Moncton, passed away on Friday September 30, 2022 at the Dr. Georges-L.-Dumont UHC. Born in Moncton, she was the daughter of the late Daniel and Élise (Léger) Auffrey.

Prior to her retirement, Rita worked in the offices at Eaton’s.

She is survived by her husband of 60 years, Clovis LeBlanc; three children: Nicole LeBlanc-Richard (Alcide) of Dieppe, Marc (Rachel) of Fredericton, and Jacques (Joanne) of Dieppe; eight grandchildren: Simon (Josée), Chloé, Rémi, Stéphanie, Émilie, Adèle, Justin, and Alec; two sisters: Corinne Robichaud (late Roméo) and Louise, both of Cap-de-Cocagne; two brothers: Auguste (late Béatrice) of Moncton, and Laurie (Bertha) of Cobourg, ON; one sister-in-law, Mary Auffrey of Midland, ON; as well as her nieces and nephews.

Besides her parents, she was predeceased by one sister, Marguerite (Phil Johnson); two brothers: Francis and George.

The family wishes to express their sincere gratitude towards the nurses of Extra-Mural Program of Moncton and Shediac as well as the doctors and nurses at the Dr. Georges-L.-Dumont UHC for their excellent care provided to Rita.

The family will receive condolences at Frenette Funeral and Cremation Centre, 88 Church Street, Moncton (858-1900) where the funeral service will be celebrated on Saturday October 8 at 11 am. Visiting hours are Friday from 7 to 9 pm and Saturday from 10 am until time of funeral. Interment will be at Our Lady of Calvary cemetery in Dieppe. In memory of Rita, a contribution to the CHU Dumont Foundation (www.dumontfoundation.ca) would be appreciated.
