Deanna Gallant, 78, of Shediac, passed away on Monday September 5, 2022, at the Dr. Georges-L. Dumont UHC. Born in Pointe-du-Chêne, she was the daughter of the late Arthur and Yvonne Clements.

Prior to her retirement, Deanna was an RNA. Most recently she was an early childhood care worker at a daycare.

She is survived by her husband, Robert "Bob"; one son, Neil Clark (Jodi) of Invermere, BC; four stepchildren: Michael (Marie-Jane) and Normand (Theresa) all of Moncton, Danny (Tracy) of Ontario and Patricia "Patsy" Allain (Jean-Guy) of Bouctouche;  three brothers: Edmond ( late Shirley), Ovila and Roy; four sisters: Julie Gallant (Léonce), Nancy Gallant (late Robert), Karla Arsenault (Luc) and Shirley (Emile)Wade; three grandchildren: Jaydon (Joel), William and Steven; two great-granddaughters Cara and Avery; as well as many Beloved nieces, nephews and cousins.

Besides her parents, she was predeceased by three brothers: George "TeBoy", Normand "Doby" and Douglas; one sister, Marlene Desimas.

If you knew Deanna, you loved her. She was the most selfless, compassionate, genuine, and radiant woman. She put everyone’s needs before her own, braved many battles that molded her into an even kinder, more empathetic individual. Some of her final words were "I hope there’s a heaven so I can watch out for you". Deanna had the uncanny ability to create the most spectacular meal out of table scraps - her pies were absolute masterpieces. When she was able, she’d wake up first thing each morning and go for a walk and breathe in the scenery. Of her 78 years on this planet, she spent nearly all of them serving others, providing for those that she loved, and experiencing all that life had to offer.

There will be a celebration of life for Deanna at the Pointe-du-Chêne Community Centre on Sunday September 11 at 2 pm. In memory of Deanna, a contribution to the Canadian Cancer Society or to a charity of the donor’s choice would be appreciated.
