Corinne Gauvin, 73, of Manoir Notre-Dame in Moncton and formerly of Cocagne, passed away on Thursday September 1, 2022 at the Dr. Georges-L.-Dumont UHC. Born in Abrams Village, P.E.I., she was the daughter of the late Jean-Pierre and Lucie (Léger) Gallant.

A hairdresser by profession, Corinne was an angel who was always there to lend a helping hand to whoever needed it. She loved to cook and entertain, and always took a pleasure in sharing her food creations with her family and friends.

She is survived by her son, Michel (Charline) of Dieppe; two granddaughters: Erika and Mylène; three sisters: Germaine Richard (Rick) of Moncton, Murielle Breau (Léonard) and Maria Daine (Dave Cormier), both of Cocagne; six brothers: Jean-Paul (Helen Bruce) of Halifax, Gérard (late Louisa, Linda Melanson), Terrence (Gisèle) and Rhéal, all of Cocagne; Louis (Maureen) of Bedford, NS, and Maurice (Thérèse Landry) of Shippagan; the father of her son, Paul Gauvin; as well as many nieces and nephews.

Besides her parents, she was predeceased by one brother, Gérald.

The family would like to thank the staff at the Manoir Notre-Dame, and all the nurses and doctors of the 4D and 3E Units at the Dr. Georges-L.-Dumont UHC for their wonderful care given to Corinne during her stay.

The family will receive condolences at Saint-Pierre R.C. church slumber room, 2000 Route 115, Cocagne, from where the funeral mass will be celebrated on Wednesday September 7 at 4 pm. Visiting hours are Wednesday from 2 pm until time of funeral. Interment will be in Cocagne parish cemetery. In memory of Corinne, a contribution to the CHU Dumont Foundation (Oncology) would be appreciated. Funeral arrangements are in the professional care of Frenette Funeral and Cremation Centre, Moncton (858-1900).
