Emile Belliveau, 85, of Shediac and formerly of Boudreau-Ouest, passed away on Saturday August 27, 2022, at the Villa Providence in Shediac. Born in Shediac, he was the son of the late Arthur and Léontine (LeBlanc) Belliveau.

Prior to his retirement, Emile worked as a heavy equipment operator. For over 40 years, Emile loved going to horse shows with his Belgian horses.

He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Bertina (Doiron); two children: Louise Boudreau (Marc Vautour) of Boudreau-Ouest and André (Roberte Surette) of Boudreau-Ouest; one brother, Yvon (Ann-Marie) of Grand-Barachois; one sister, Léa Boudreau (late Bernard) of Grand-Barachois; one granddaughter, Emilie (Mathieu Godin); one step-grandson, Justin Surette (Paulette Girouard); one great-step-grandson, Kevin; as well as several nieces and nephews.

Besides his parents, he was predeceased by two brothers: Jean and Raymond.

The family will receive condolences at Frenette Funeral and Cremation Centre, 396 Main Street, Shediac (532-3297) from where the funeral service will be celebrated on Wednesday August 31 at 11 am. Visiting hours are Tuesday from 7 to 9 pm and Wednesday from 9:30 am to 10:45 am. Interment will be in St-Joseph cemetery in Shediac.

In memory of Émile, a contribution to the Parkinson Society or Villa Providence (activity department) would be appreciated.
