It is with deep regret that we announce the passing of Jeannette Léger, 85, on Sunday, August 14th, 2022, at the Dr. Georges-L. Dumont UHC. Born in Petit-Cap, she was the daughter of the late Amand and Marquerite (Arseneault) Ouellette.
She is survived by her three daughters: Sheila Vautour (Léo-Paul) of Cap-Pelé, Denise Léger (Daniel Boudreau) of Haute-Aboujagane, and Gisèle Melanson (Edwin LeBlanc) of Shediac; her sister, Marie-Mai Duguay (Billy) of Shediac; six brothers: Henri (Lorraine) of Cap-Pelé, Laurie (Gilberte) of Cap-Pelé, Oscar (Levina) of Cap-Pelé, Jean Brun (Thérèse) of Cap-Pelé, Norbert Brun (Claudette) of Shediac, and Amand (Elaine) of Grand-Barachois; four grandchildren: Marc, Monica, Nicholas, and Annie; three great grandchildren: Jacob, Wes, and Théo, a special friend, Robert and several nieces and nephews.
Jeannette was predeceased by her husband, Alphée Léger (2004), siblings: Hermance Richard, Germaine Doiron, Huberte Cyr, Marguerite Melanson, Francis Ouellette, Napoléon Brun, grandchild: Josée Duguay.
The family will receive condolences at Frenette Funeral and Cremation Centre, 396 Main Street, Shediac from where a chapel service will be held on Monday, August 22nd at 4 pm. Visiting hour on Monday, August 22nd is from 2 pm till 3:45 pm. Interment will be in the Ste-Thérèse-d’Avila cemetery in Cap-Pelé.
