It is with
great sadness that the family announce that Léandre
Bourque, 96, of Résidence Bellevue of Dieppe and formerly
of Parkton, passed away on Friday, August 12, 2022, at the Dr.
Georges-L.-Dumont UHC, Moncton. Born in Scoudouc, NB, he was the son
of the late Napoléon and Adélie (Boudreau)
Bourque.
Léandre was a hard-working
individual and a man of great faith who loved socializing with people
around him. loving husband, father, Grand father and Great Grand
father.
Léandre worked at Swift for
27 years. Opening his shoe shop ‘’Bourque shoe
repair’’ till he retired. Throughout his life, he
was a great contributor to Notre- Dame-de-Grace Church and a founder
of the Golden Age Club (NDdeG). He loved his special visit enjoying
his hot chocolate with his daughter.
He is survived by his loving daughter,
Josette Boudreau (Paul) of Grand-Barachois; his two granddaughters
that he adored: Chantal Boudreau (Austin) and Isabelle Boudreau
(Mathew); his two great-grandchildren: Sofie and Myles; as well as his
nieces and nephews. He was the last survivor of his immediate
family.
Besides his parents,
Léandre was predeceased by his wife, Eugénie
"Jennie" Bourque (2015) and infant son Francis
Léandre; his six sisters: Léa,
Émélie, Elizabeth, Ida, Bella, Beatrice; five
brothers: Antoine, Phylias, Charles, Noel,
Albert.
The family will receive condolences at
Frenette Funeral and Cremation Centre, 88 Church Street, Moncton
(858-1900) on Tuesday, August 16, 2022, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm and
on Wednesday, August 17, 2022, from 1pm to 1:45pm. The funeral mass
will be celebrated at Notre-Dame-de-Grâce Roman Catholic
Church, 858 Mountain Road, Moncton on Wednesday, August 17, 2022, at 2
pm.
In memory of Léandre, a
contribution to a charity of the donor’s choice would be
appreciated.
