With heavy hearts, we
announce the passing of Ronald "Ron" LeBlanc, 83, on Friday
August 5th, 2022, at the Dr. Georges-L.-Dumont
UHC. Born in Dieppe, he was the son of the late Arthur and Marie
Blanche (Cormier) LeBlanc.
He leaves to mourn his
wife, Camilla, married for 63 years; a daughter, Lise Blakeney (Lorne)
of Woodpoint, NB; a son, Roland (late Colleen Hollis) of Fredericton;
four grandchildren: Ryan (Crystal) of Estavan, SK, Kimberley of
Barnaby, BC, Brian (Hannah) and Danielle (Claire) of Fredericton;
three great-grandchildren: Parvati, Bentley, and Everleigh; a brother,
Léo (late Eveline); his brother and sister in-laws: Lou
(Eukie), Lorraine (Vic), Laurie (Francine), and Dorilla (late Merv),
also many nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by
eight sisters: infant Mary, Bella, Evelyn, Mae, Rita, Leona, Anita,
and Theresa and by two brothers: infant Rene and Roy.
Ron was a wonderful
husband, father, and grand father. He was a great rhythm guitar
player. For many years, he played music at the St-Henri de Barachois
Church, Grand-Barachois and with the local band "La gang de la
HA". Ron was a big fan of bluegrass music. He will be
missed.
Due to Covid, there
will be no visitation. A private family service will be held on
Saturday August 27th at 10:30am. The funeral
service will be live streamed and may be viewed on his obituary at
www.frenettefuneralhome.com.
Interment will be at the parish columbarium in
Grand-Barachois.
In memory of Ron, donations to the
Heart and Stroke Foundation of NB or to the Vestiaire St-Joseph would
be appreciated.
Cremation and funeral arrangements
are under the direction of Frenette Funeral and Cremation Centre,
Shediac (532-3297).
