It is with heavy heart that we announce the passing of our sister, Rose-Ida (Richard) Gorycki, 81, of Moncton, on Tuesday August 2, 2022 at The Moncton Hospital. Born in St-Ignace, she was the daughter of the late François and Anita (Daigle) Richard.

After graduating from school in Richibucto, she met her late husband and spent her adult life in the United States.

She is survived by three brothers: Camille Richard (late Rita) of Fredericton, Robert Richard (Mireille) of Drummondville, QC, and Charles Richard (Cécile) of Moncton; as well as several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Leonard A. Gorycki (2008); one sister, Irene Faherty; and one sister-in-law, Linda Richard.

The family would like to thank the staff at The Moncton Hospital and the people who spent time with her during her last days at the hospital.

In accordance with her wishes, there will be no visitation and no funeral service. Interment will be with her husband in Lewiston, Maine. In memory of Rose-Ida, a contribution to the N.B. Heart and Stroke Foundation would be appreciated. Funeral arrangements are in the professional care of Frenette Funeral and Cremation Centre, Moncton (858-1900).
