It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Octave LeBlanc, 90, of Cormier-Village on Sunday, July 31, 2022, at his residence.
Born in Bouctouche, he was the son of the late Donat and Henriette (Caissie) LeBlanc.
He was a member of the Golden Age Club in Grand-Barachois.
He is survived by his loving wife, married for 64 years, Thérèse (Richard) LeBlanc, his children: Roberte Melanson (Fernand) of Dieppe, Hélèna Goguen (Roland) of Cormier-Village, Donalda Haché (Raymond) of Cormier-Village, Rose-Marie Cormier (Jean-Paul) of Sainte-Marie, Daniel (Pauline Léger) of Memramcook and Noël of Cormier-Village; his siblings: Anita LeBlanc (late Alphée) of Grande-Digue, Jeanne Melanson (late Roger) of Cocagne, Eva Bourgeois (late Yvon) of Bouctouche, Yvette LeBlanc (Roger) of Grande-Digue, Edith Allain (late Irois) of Sainte-Marie, and Éric (Noëlla) of Bouctouche; his sisters-in-law: Dorine LeBlanc of Bouctouche and Donalda LeBlanc of Sainte-Marie; his brother-in-law, Roger Nowlan of Bouctouche; his seven grandchildren, Sylvie, Aline, Stéphane, Janice, Sébastien, Chris and Julien; his seven great-grandchildren; and by several nieces and nephews.
Besides his parents, he was predeceased by an infant son, Fidèle (1964); his siblings, Annie Allain, Azélia Léger, Roberte LeBlanc, Diana Nowlan, Hélèna LeBlanc, Philippe, François and Fidèle.
The family will receive condolences at Frenette Funeral and Cremation Centre, 396 Main Street, Shediac, on Wednesday, August 3, 2022, from and from 7p.m. to 9p.m. and Thursday, August 4, 2022, from 9:00 a.m. to 10:10 a.m. The funeral mass will be celebrated on Thursday, August 4, 2022, at 10:30 a.m. at the St-Henri R. C. Church in Grand-Barachois.
In memory of Octave, a contribution to the Heart & Stroke Foundation, CNIB or to a charity of the choice would be appreciated.
