It is with great sadness that we share the passing of our loving mother, Pauline Drisdelle, 78, of Pointe-du-Chêne and formerly of Moncton, after a short battle against cancer.  She passed away on Friday July 22, 2022 surrounded by her sons and grandchildren at the Dr. Georges-L.-Dumont UHC. Born in Moncton, she was the daughter of the late Adrien and Mabel (de Varennes) Léger.

She will be sadly missed by her four sons: Marc (Monique) and Daniel (Suzie Légère), both of Dieppe, Serge of Calgary, AB, and Claude of Moncton; three grandchildren: Kloé, Philipe and Claire; one sister, Bernice Holmes (late Bob Holmes, late Rudy Lavoie); two brothers: Léo-Paul Léger (Anne) and Maurice Léger (Pauline), both of Moncton;  many nieces and nephews as well as her special long time companion Bill Downs.  She will also be missed by her in-laws Claire, Roland (Cheryl), Irène (Léonard, deceased).

Besides her parents she was predeceased by her husband, Donald (2004); one sister, Dolorès; and one brother, Donald.

As a kind, caring and loving mother and grand-mother with an unequalled sense of humour, she was the nucleus of the family. "Cé yainc une joke!"

Pauline received her teaching licence from l’École Normale in Fredericton and went on to completing her B.Ed at Université de Moncton with four boys in tow.  Her 35 year career took her from Bagotville to the greater Moncton area, teaching at several elementary schools in French Immersion.  She was a devoted volunteer with the Karing Kitchen, Capitol Theater and other various organizations. She was the quintessential sports mom; managing her fulltime career and all their schedules. After her retirement, her summers were spent at the family cottage (her happy place) and easily transitioned into a snowbird at the Sundance Lakes RV Resort in Florida for the winter months.  No matter the location or the season, she left an indelible impression.  She loved spending time with her family, friends and especially her precious grandchildren.  Pauline was always up for an impromptu Karaoke night, game night, or canoe trip.

The family wishes to thank the Oncology Department at Dr. Georges-L.-Dumont, her close family and friends dedicating countless hours to her care in her final months.  Thanks to family and friends who travelled near and far to provide lots of love and laughter, especially her nieces from Ottawa.

The family will receive condolences at Frenette Funeral and Cremation Centre, 88 Church Street, Moncton (858-1900) on Tuesday from 7 to 9 pm only. The funeral mass will be celebrated at Our Lady of Assumption Cathedral, 220 St. George Street, Moncton on Wednesday July 27 at 11:00 am. Face covering is recommended. Interment will be in Our Lady of Calvary Cemetery, Dieppe. In memory of Pauline, a contribution to the CHU Dumont Foundation and or the Canadian Mental Health Association would be appreciated.
