Rita LeBlanc, 96, passed away at the O’Bon Soins, Shediac, on Sunday, July 17th, 2022, surrounded by her loving family. She was the daughter of the late Arsène and Emilienne (Cormier) Bastarache and the wife of the late Alban LeBlanc.
She will be sadly missed by her five beloved children: Omer (Thérèse) of Dieppe, Paul-Émile (Maria), Simonne LeBlanc (Claude), Norma LeBlanc (Marcel), and Odette Frigault (Donatien) all of Scoudouc.
She also leaves behind four loving siblings: Ulysse (Sue) of St-Maurice, Régis (Irène) of Dieppe, Laurier (late Stella) of Bellingham, Mass., and Andréa Robichaud (late Alfred) of Bouctouche. Her eight grandchildren will also keep her memory alive: Marc, Michelle, André, Denis, Mathieu, Joël, Denis, and René; 10 great grandchildren: Dusean, Lucas, Mila, Rio, Amaya, Zachary, Owen, Lia, Laurence, and Elliot; also, by several nieces and nephews.
She is predeceased by an infant daughter, Dorine; seven brothers: Noël, Prémélite, Lorenzo, Sylvio, Aldéi, Raoul, and Gérard; two sisters: Elmire Maillet and Laudia Bourque, including three sisters and one brother at an early age.
The family would like to thank the entire staff of O’Bon Soins for the care and compassion given to Rita during her stay.
The family will receive condolences at Frenette Funeral and Cremation Centre, 396 Main Street, Shediac on August 3rd, from where a chapel service will be held at 2:30 pm. Visitations will be from 12:30 pm till 2:15 pm. Interment will be at the St-Jacques-le-Majeur cemetery in Scoudouc. The family request that face covering be mandatory.
