Carole Rousseau, 69, of Dieppe, passed away on Tuesday June 21, 2022 at the Dr. Georges-L.-Dumont UHC. Born in Les Boules, QC, she was the daughter of the late Gilberte Turcotte and Fernand Rousseau.

Carole was an exceptional nurse at the Dr. Georges-L.-Dumont hospital for 26 years. She worked countless hours towards the creation of the Palliative Care Unit at the hospital, attending many meetings and trainings to make sure the staff was well prepared to take care of the patients and their family. She then worked at the Public Health Department until retirement.

She is survived by her husband, Paul Gauvin; one son, Dany (Ginette) of Dieppe; one step-son, Michel (Charline) of Dieppe; four grandchildren: Isabelle, Sébastien, Erika and Mylène; one sister, Doris Rousseau-Lévesque (André) of Rimouski, QC; one brother, Rénald (Fabien) of Mont-Joli, QC; a special niece, Catherine; her son’s father, Alex of Moncton; as well as several aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

The family wishes to express their sincere gratitude towards the staff of Unit 3A at the Dr. Georges-L.-Dumont UHC for their wonderful care provided to Carole.

The family will receive condolences at Frenette Funeral and Cremation Centre, 88 Church Street, Moncton (858-1900) where the funeral service will be celebrated on Monday June 27 at 11 am. Visiting hours are Sunday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 pm and Monday from 10 am until time of funeral. Face coverings are recommended.
