It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of
Jeannine LeBlanc, 84, of Moncton, on May 30, 2022, at the Dr.
Georges-L.-Dumont University Hospital Centre. Born in Saint-Antoine,
she was the daughter of the late Irénée and
Régina (Breau) LeBlanc.
Jeannine enjoyed life and loved spending every possible
moment with her family, especially her two granddaughters. She began
her career at la Société Assomption Vie before
leaving to work in the family business, U&A Contractors Ltd.
She spent many years volunteering at the Dr. Georges-L.-Dumont
Hospital and was a member of Les Dames
Chevalières.
Jeannine will be sadly missed by her loving husband Ulysse,
two daughters Claire LeBlanc (Bill Mallais) and Isabelle LeBlanc (Eric
Landry), two adored granddaughters Madeleine and Adèle
Landry, all residing in Moncton, in addition to three
step-grandchildren Chantal Mallais-Grant, Scott Mallais and Ryan
Mallais. Jeannine is also survived by four sisters Alice
Léger (late Vital) of Moncton, Imelda Jean (Jacques) of
Boucherville, Qc, Irène Nowlan (Jim) of Moncton and
Edmée Arsenault (late Désiré) of
Saint-Antoine, one sister-in-law Léona LeBlanc (late
Gérard) of Moncton, one brother-in-law, Adelin Paradis
(late Florence) of Montréal, Qc, a special niece Carmella
Brooks, as well as several other nieces and nephews.
Aside from her parents, she was predeceased by her siblings
Juliette Léger (late Alban), Lina Robichaud (late Ernest),
Eric LeBlanc (late Léona), Yvon LeBlanc (late Odila),
Florence Paradis (Adelin), Gérard LeBlanc
(Léona), Lucie Melanson, and her twin Edith
Léger (Léon-Guy).
The family will receive condolences at Frenette Funeral and
Cremation Centre, 88 Church Street, Moncton (858-1900) on Thursday
from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm only. The funeral mass will be celebrated at
Notre-Dame-de-Grâce church, 854 Mountain Road in Moncton on
Friday June 3 at 10:30 am. In Jeannine’s memory,
donations can be made to the CHU Dumont Foundation.
