Alfred J. LeBlanc, 84, formerly of Robichaud Office, passed away peacefully at the Villa Providence, Shediac, on May 5, 2022.  Born in Lakeburn, he was the son of late Adrien and Rosé (Belliveau) LeBlanc.
Fred began his aviation career working for Maritime Central Airways in the 1950's, as a Purser.  In the early 60's he went to work for Air Canada, where he worked for over 31 years until his retirement.

Retirement kept him very busy with gardening, operating a Christmas tree farm, wine making, wood carving, rock painting & landscaping his beautiful property.  He was also a member of the Knights of Columbus.  Fred had many friends that would stop by daily to chat and look at whatever project he was working on.  Fred always had a calm, respectful way about him that drew people to him.  He was always the first to lend a hand to anyone in need.

Fred will be missed by his wife of 61 years, Murielle (LeBlanc); one daughter, Monique Landry of Robichaud Office; one son, Serge (Meredith) of Oromocto; two grandchildren: Katie Landry (Sylvio) of Grand Barachois and Éric LeBlanc of Keswick Ridge; special family friends, Barbara Ayoub and Sabrina Charette.  Fred will also be missed by his sister, Adrienne Thibodeau (Raymond); five brothers: Paul (Florence), Romeo, Zoël (late Hermaine), Louis (Gloria) and Clarence (Madelaine); one sister-in-law, Sr. Gemma LeBlanc; one brother-in-law, Bermont LeBlanc (Claudette), as well as several nieces and nephews.

The family would like to express their gratitude to Ti Bon Soin & Villa Providence for the wonderful care they provided to Fred, while he was in their care. A special mention for Barbara as well.

The family will receive condolences at Frenette Funeral and Cremation Centre, 396 Main Street, Shediac (532-3297) where the funeral service will be celebrated on Tuesday May 10 at 4 pm. Visiting hours are Tuesday from 2 pm until time of funeral (3:50 pm). The family respectfully requests that everyone wear a face covering. Interment will be in the Frenette Funeral Columbarium, Shediac.

In memory of Fred, a contribution to a charity of the donor’s choice is appreciated.
