It is with deep sadness that the family of Dolores Pitre
announces her passing on April 17th, 2022, at the
Dr. Georges-L.-Dumont University Hospital Centre, Moncton, at
the age of 89. Born in Moncton on November 4th, 1932, she was the
daughter and youngest child of the late Charles Tilmon and the late
Elise (LeBlanc) Melanson.
Dolores is survived by her four children: Monique (Claude)
Brisson, Éric, Charles (Symantha Liston), and Marc; two
grandsons: Marc-André (Meghan), and
Jérémie Brisson; three great-grandchildren:
Jack, Ben, and Nell; as well as by one sister, Lauré
Gautreau; two sisters-in-law: Muriel Chan and Jean Pitre; and several
nieces and nephews.
Dolores was predeceased by her beloved husband, Edouard
"Pete" (2015); one daughter-in-law, Manon Leclerc; three
brothers: Gérard, Aldéi, and Edgar; five
sisters: Stella Bourque, Irène Cormier, Marie Melanson,
Jeannette Ménard, and Corinne Furlong.
Prior to her retirement in 1991, Dolores worked many years
for the CN Medical Services.
The family wishes to express their sincere appreciation to
Dr. Anand and the staff of the Moncton Residence for the care she
received during her stay. As well, thank you to Drs.
Thériault and Savoie and all who cared for her at the Dr.
Georges-L.-Dumont Hospital.
The family will receive condolences on Sunday, May 8th, from
2 to 4 and from 7 to 9 pm at Frenette Funeral and Cremation Centre, 88
Church Street, Moncton. The funeral will be celebrated at Christ-Roi
R.C. Church, 300 Dominion Street, on Monday, May 9th at 10:30
am. The family respectfully asks that everyone wear a mask
while attending the visitation and funeral. The funeral mass
will be videotaped, and the video will be available on her obituary on
our Website at the end of the day. Interment will be in
Frenette Columbarium.
