It is with deep sadness that the family of Dolores Pitre announces her passing on April 17th, 2022, at the Dr. Georges-L.-Dumont University Hospital Centre, Moncton, at the age of 89. Born in Moncton on November 4th, 1932, she was the daughter and youngest child of the late Charles Tilmon and the late Elise (LeBlanc) Melanson.

Dolores is survived by her four children: Monique (Claude) Brisson, Éric, Charles (Symantha Liston), and Marc; two grandsons: Marc-André (Meghan), and Jérémie Brisson; three great-grandchildren: Jack, Ben, and Nell; as well as by one sister, Lauré Gautreau; two sisters-in-law: Muriel Chan and Jean Pitre; and several nieces and nephews.

Dolores was predeceased by her beloved husband, Edouard "Pete" (2015); one daughter-in-law, Manon Leclerc; three brothers: Gérard, Aldéi, and Edgar; five sisters: Stella Bourque, Irène Cormier, Marie Melanson, Jeannette Ménard, and Corinne Furlong.

Prior to her retirement in 1991, Dolores worked many years for the CN Medical Services.

The family wishes to express their sincere appreciation to Dr. Anand and the staff of the Moncton Residence for the care she received during her stay.  As well, thank you to Drs. Thériault and Savoie and all who cared for her at the Dr. Georges-L.-Dumont Hospital.

The family will receive condolences on Sunday, May 8th, from 2 to 4 and from 7 to 9 pm at Frenette Funeral and Cremation Centre, 88 Church Street, Moncton. The funeral will be celebrated at Christ-Roi R.C. Church, 300 Dominion Street, on Monday, May 9th at 10:30 am.  The family respectfully asks that everyone wear a mask while attending the visitation and funeral.  The funeral mass will be videotaped, and the video will be available on her obituary on our Website at the end of the day.  Interment will be in Frenette Columbarium.
