Russell Doucette, 79, of Shediac passes away at his residence on Saturday March 26, 2022. Born in Moncton, he was the son of the late Gordon and Margaret (Gallant) Doucette.
After high school Russell joined the Royal Canadian Navy in 1962 and was stationed aboard the H.M.C.S. Bonaventure where he stayed until 1965. Russell then joined the Fredericton city police until 1977, and then the department of Justice until retirement.
Russell is survived by his daughter, Danielle; greatest pride and joy, his grandson, Logan; a sister, Patsy; a brother, Robert, as well as many nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by an infant daughter, Danielle Doreen.
In accordance to his wishes, there will be no visitation and no funeral service. In memory of Russell, a contribution to the charity of the donor’s choice would be appreciated. Funeral arrangements are in the professional care of Frenette Funeral and Cremation Centre, Shediac (532-3297).
