It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of
Alphée J. LeBlanc, on March 7, 2022, at the Villa
Providence, Shediac, at the age of 92. Born in Cap
Pelé, he was the son of the late Thaddée and
Herminie (Cormier) LeBlanc.
Although he lived for many years in Shediac, and then in
Dieppe, his heart never left his native village of Cap
Pelé, a place he would visit daily. He was an
entrepreneur throughout his life but the role he cherished most was
that of grandfather to Christian and Samuel. He was generous of heart
and thought and welcoming to all. Always jovial and
quick-witted, we will miss his presence and joie de
vivre.
He will be sadly missed by his wife, Edith (Landry); his
children: Denise (Glenda) and Jacques (Donna); two grandsons:
Christian (Melissa) and Samuel, and one great-grandson,
Luca. He is also survived by his sisters: Elizabeth Greek
and Jeanne Olscamp (late Edmond); a brother, Jean LeBlanc (late
Georgette); two sisters-in-law: Rose LeBlanc and Irene LeBlanc, as
well as many nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his
brothers: Aurèle, Joseph, Amance, Gérard,
André, Azor and Raymond; his sisters: Andréa,
Catherina and infant sister, Claire.
The family will receive condolences at Frenette Funeral and
Cremation Centre, 396 Main Street, Shediac (532-3297), on Thursday
March 10 from 7 to 9 pm and Friday March 11 from 9:45 am until time of
departure (10:45 am). The funeral mass will be celebrated at St-Joseph
R.C. Church, 415 Main Street, Shediac, on Friday March 11 at 11 am.
Interment will be in the Frenette Funeral Centre columbarium, Shediac.
Face coverings are mandatory to enter the funeral centre
and church.
We would like to thank the staff of Villa Providence Shediac
for the care and support given to the family during his
stay.
In memory of Alphée, a
contribution to the Villa Providence (Activity Fund) would be
appreciated.
