Jeannette Melanson, 87, of Résidence Bellevue in Dieppe and formerly of Moncton, passed away on Wednesday March 2, 2022 at the Dr. Georges-L.-Dumont UHC. Born in Scoudouc, she was the daughter of the late Philippe and Laura (Melanson) Melanson, and the sister of Rita Wilson, René, Raymond, Paul and Edgar.

Prior to her retirement, she was a seamstress at the Dr. Georges-L.-Dumont hospital. Jeannette loved singing in the church choir at the Our Lady of Assumption Cathedral. She also loved walking every day, especially going to Sobeys Vaughn Harvey.

She will be missed by her friend, Aline Breau; as well as her nieces and nephews.

In accordance to her wishes, there will be no visitation and no funeral service. A graveyard service will take place in the spring at Our Lady of Calvary cemetery in Dieppe. In memory of Jeannette, a contribution to a charity of the donor’s choice would be appreciated.
