Claude Belliveau, 75, of Shediac and formerly of Scoudouc, passed away on Monday February 28, 2022, at the Villa Providence. Born in Scoudouc, he was the son of the late Odilon and Sara (Belliveau) Belliveau.

Before his retirement, he worked as a salesman at Lounsbury and Seaside Chevrolet. Claude also played a big part in the Big Brothers Big Sisters of Greater Moncton. He was a Big Brother to Gérard, with whom he still kept in touch. He participated in the Bowling for Millions fundraiser raising the most funds for many years. Before residing at the Villa Providence, Claude spent countless hours playing cards and visiting with the residents of the Villa.

He will be sadly missed by his loving wife of 50 years, Dorine (Caissie); two children: Susan Belliveau (Mark Lenihan) of Ottawa and Diane Belliveau (Paul Walsh) of Moncton; six siblings: Marie-Paule Richard (late Rhéal) of Shediac, Thomas (Agnès) of Dieppe, Roberte Gauvin (late Fred) of Shediac, Annette Melanson (Émile) of Shediac, Donat (Cécile) of Pointe-du-Chêne and Monique Richard-Léger (late Jean) (Philippe) of Shediac; a sister-in-law, Jeannette Belliveau of Bouctouche; a brother-in-law, Hector Petitpas of Montréal; as well as several nieces and nephews.

Besides his parents, he was predeceased by a sister, Claudette Petitpas; a brother, Bernard.

The family will receive condolences at Frenette Funeral and Cremation Centre, 396 Main Street, Shediac (532-3297) where the funeral service will be celebrated on Thursday March 17 at 11 am. Visiting hours are Wednesday March 16 from 2 to 4 pm and 7 to 9 pm and Thursday March 17 from 10 am until time of funeral. At the request of the family, face covering is strongly encouraged. Interment will be in St-Jacques-le-Majeur cemetery, Scoudouc. The funeral service will be streamed live; to view the funeral, go to his obituary on our Website.
