Dorice Caissie, 88, of Le P’tit Chez-Nous
residence, Grande-Digue passed away on Tuesday February 22, 2022, at
her residence. Born in Cocagne Cape, she was the daughter of the late
Evariste and Mélina (Léger)
Hébert.
She was the founder of
Caissie Poutine which they operated for 32 years. She was a past
president of "ENTRELLES". She loved music and was a member
of a clogging group, and a big fan of the Montreal
Canadiens.
She will be sadly missed by her three children:
Cécile Boudreau (Donald) of Grand Barachois,
Gérard (Pat) and Fernand (Gisèle) both of
Cocagne Cape; two siblings: Adrien (Dora) of Shediac and Annette
Léger (late Alcide) of Dieppe; three sisters in-law: Jeanne
Hébert of Moncton, Géraldine Hébert
of Shediac and Laudia Hébert of Cocagne Cape; eight
grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren, as well as many nieces and
nephews.
Besides her parents, she was
predeceased by her husband, Normand Caissie; siblings, Viola Gallant,
Anida Léger, Germaine Gagnon, Bernadette Freeze, Rita
Surette, Pierre, Wilfred, Éva-Mai Bourgeois, Yvon, Laurie
and Odule.
The family would like to thank the staff of Le P'tit Chez
Nous for their excellent care during her stay with them. A special
thank you to Paulette for her aesthetic care.
The family will receive condolences at Frenette Funeral and Cremation
Centre, 396 Main Street, Shediac (532-3297) where the funeral service
will be celebrated on Monday February 28, 2022, at 4 pm. Visiting
hours are Monday from 2 pm until time of funeral
service. Interment will be in the La Visitation cemetery,
Grande-Digue, at a later date.
Face covering is mandatory to enter the funeral centre, and the church.
In memory of Dorice, a contribution to the CHU Dumont Foundation (oncology) would be appreciated.
