It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our loving mother, Yvette LeBlanc, at the age of 82 (but always 29), of Saint-Antoine and formerly of Saint-Damien, on Saturday February 12, 2022 at the Foyer Saint-Antoine. Born in Irishtown, she was the daughter of the late Lewis and Florence (Bourque) Girouard.

Yvette was a loving spouse, mother, grandmother, sister and friend. She had an enormous heart and saw the good in everyone. She touched everyone who got to know her. Her patience, love and values made her the incredible person she was, and these qualities were passed on to her children. She worked for Employment Insurance Canada until her retirement, and had also worked at Sunlife Insurance and Don’s Plumbing and Heating.

She is survived by her three children: Michael (Bernice) of Saint-Antoine, Monique Maillet (Rhéal) of Bouctouche, and Lisa LeBlanc (Daniel) of Memramcook; her grandchildren: Mélanie Goguen, Marc Maillet, Ricky LeBlanc, Rémi LeBlanc, and Louis Cormier; her great-grandchild, Jacob Goguen; four sisters: Louise LeBlanc (late Pierre), Jeannine Gallant (Robert "Bob"), Doris Wheaton, and Claudia Donnelly (late Danny); one brother, Normand Girouard; one sister-in-law, Helen Girouard; as well as her nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Normand; one daughter, Anne LeBlanc; and one brother, Raymond Girouard.

Special thanks to the Foyer Saint-Antoine for your kindness to our mother over the past three years.

The family will receive condolences at Saint-Antoine L'Ermite R.C. Church, 24 avenue de l'Église, Saint-Antoine where the funeral mass will be celebrated Friday February 18 at 4 pm. Visiting hours are Friday from 2 pm until time of funeral. Interment will be in the parish cemetery. In memory of Yvette, a contribution to Alzheimer Society or the Foyer Saint-Antoine would be appreciated. Funeral arrangements are in the professional care of Frenette Funeral and Cremation Centre, Moncton (858-1900).
