Laurie "Smiley" LeBlanc, 74, of Moncton, passed away on Thursday January 27, 2022 at The Moncton Hospital with his loving and devoted wife, Bernice, by his side, taking care of him until the end as she always did. Born in Dieppe, he was the son of the late Arcade and Juliette (Melanson) LeBlanc of Dieppe.

Laurie enjoyed watching sports, especially baseball and hockey.

Laurie is survived by his wife of 35 years, Bernice (LeBlanc); his brother, Roger LeBlanc (Virginia) of Oshawa, ON; his sisters: Jeannine Cormier (Leonard) of Moncton, and Dorice Bourgeois (Raymond) of Dieppe; as well as nieces and nephews, extended family and friends.

A heartfelt thank you to the staff of The Briarlea on Ryan for their love and care shown to Laurie for the past 10 months.

In honoring Laurie’s wishes, there will be no visitation and no funeral service. Memorial donations may be made to Crohn’s and Colitis Canada, Diabetes Canada, or to a charity of the donor’s choice. Funeral arrangements are in the professional care of Frenette Funeral and Cremation Centre, Moncton (858-1900).
