Charles Caissie, 98, formerly of Grand-Barachois, passed away on Thursday January 20th, 2022, at the Veteran Health Centre. Born in Sainte-Anne-de-Kent, he was the son of the late Albert and Eugénie (Richard) Caissie.
He is survived by his three children: Bernette LeBlanc (Robert) of Shediac, Vernon (Diane) of Shediac, et Gaston (Rosella) of Riverview; five grandchildren and five great grandchildren; three sisters: Eugénie Léger, Émerise Gaudet, both of Shediac, and Bernice Cormier of Richiboucto-Village; two brothers: Émery (Corinne) of Sainte-Anne-de-Kent and Jean-Baptiste of Richiboucto-Village.
He was predeceased by wife, Adeline, née Cormier; 11 sisters: Marie, Celina, Elmire, Edmée, Lorainne, Thérèse, Laudia, Jeanne, Yvonne, Odila, and Mélina (Mina); four brothers: Alyre, André, Zoel, and Régis.
By request, there will be no visitation. The funeral mass will be celebrated at St-Henri de R.C. Church, 1356 Route 133, Grand-Barachois, on Thursday February 3 at 2 pm. Interment will be in the parish cemetery.
Face covering is mandatory, and proof of vaccination and government issued identification card are required to enter the church. Limit of 50% occupancy in the church (80). Social distancing regulations will be in effect.
In memory of Charles, a contribution to the St-Henri Cemetery in Grand-Barachois would be appreciated.
