With heavy hearts, we announce that Helen May McKinley, 92, formerly of Dieppe, passed away on January 07 at the Villa du Repos in Moncton, New Brunswick. Born in Moncton, she was the daughter of the late Daniel Seymour and Georgina (Mallet) McLean.

Helen was an avid competitive bowler for many years and enjoyed singing, music and dance, and would beam with joy when her grandchildren visited.

Helen will be sadly missed by her three children: Michael (Nicole Richard) of Saint-Louis-de-Kent, Rhonda McKinley of Irishtown and Cathy Cormier (Joseph Pomeroy) of Moncton; three grandchildren: Daniel, Leanne, and Kristen; two sisters: June Tremblay (Jim) of St-Hébert, QC, and Ruth Barron, of Hamilton, ON; as well as several nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by eight siblings: Margaret "Weed", Ralph, Carl "Tootie", Reggie, Johnny, Harold "Billy", Roy, and Gordon "Bucky".

As she requested, our mother’s remains will be cremated at Frenette Funeral and Cremation Centre, 88 Church Street, Moncton (858-1900).  A funeral service and celebration of her life will be held by her family and invited guests at a later date. Helen will eventually be interred at the Elmwood Cemetery, Moncton.

In memory of Helen, a contribution to the Alzheimer Society would be appreciated.
