Father Donald Arsenault, 90, formerly of Moncton, passed away on Thursday December 30, 2021 at the Résidence Beaux Souvenirs in Dieppe. Born in Saint-Fabien, he was the son of the late Philippe and Henriette (Richard) Arsenault.

Father Arsenault studied at Collège de l’Assomption in Moncton, the Collège Saint-Joseph in Memramcook, and the Séminaire Saint-Coeur-de-Marie in Halifax, and was ordained on May 31, 1958 in Moncton. He founded the Perpetual Eucharistic Adoration International Association in Canada and spent many years promoting the Eucharistic adoration.

He is survived by one brother, Alfred "Fred" Arsenault (Anne-Marie) of Moncton; one sister-in-law, Mélina (Gérard) of Saint-Antoine; as well as several nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by two sisters: Dorothée and Dorice; seven brothers: Joseph, Raymond, Edouard, Paul, Léo, and infants: Alfred and Arthur; as well as a nephew who was special to him, Gilles.

The family wishes to extend their sincere gratitude towards the staff of Résidence Beaux Souvenirs who provided excellent care to Father Donald.

Due to the pandemic, there will be no visitation at the funeral centre. A private funeral service will be celebrated on Thursday January 20 at 10:30 am and will be live streamed. To view the funeral, go to his obituary at www.frenettefuneralhome.com. Interment will be at Our Lady of Calvary cemetery in Dieppe.
