Father Donald Arsenault, 90, formerly of Moncton, passed away
on Thursday December 30, 2021 at the Résidence Beaux
Souvenirs in Dieppe. Born in Saint-Fabien, he was the son of the late
Philippe and Henriette (Richard) Arsenault.
Father Arsenault studied at Collège de
l’Assomption in Moncton, the Collège Saint-Joseph
in Memramcook, and the Séminaire Saint-Coeur-de-Marie in
Halifax, and was ordained on May 31, 1958 in Moncton. He founded the
Perpetual Eucharistic Adoration International Association in Canada
and spent many years promoting the Eucharistic
adoration.
He is survived by one brother, Alfred "Fred"
Arsenault (Anne-Marie) of Moncton; one sister-in-law,
Mélina (Gérard) of Saint-Antoine; as well as
several nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by two sisters: Dorothée and
Dorice; seven brothers: Joseph, Raymond, Edouard, Paul,
Léo, and infants: Alfred and Arthur; as well as a nephew
who was special to him, Gilles.
The family wishes to extend their sincere gratitude towards
the staff of Résidence Beaux Souvenirs who provided
excellent care to Father Donald.
Due to the pandemic, there will be no visitation at the
funeral centre. A private funeral service will be celebrated on
Thursday January 20 at 10:30 am and will be live streamed. To view the

Calvary cemetery in Dieppe. Face covering is mandatory,
proof of vaccination and government issued identification card are
required to enter the church, and social distancing is in
effect. In memory of Father Donald, a
contribution to the Nazareth House would be appreciated. Funeral
arrangements are in the professional care of Frenette Funeral and
Cremation Centre, Moncton (858-1900).
