Chad Rankin Fillmore, 19, of Dieppe, passed away on Wednesday December 22, 2021 at The Moncton Hospital as a result of his injuries sustained in a motor vehicle accident. Born in Moncton, he was the son of Neil Fillmore of Dieppe, and the late Nicole (Breau) Fillmore.

Chad graduated from Mathieu-Martin high school and was attending NBCC Moncton. He enjoyed sports, especially hockey and baseball, as well as spending time with his friends. Chad gave the most precious gift anyone could give; the gift to save lives through organ and tissue donations.

Besides his father, he is survived by one sister, Shanna Fillmore (Eric Poirier) of Dieppe; one brother, Austin Fillmore (Martine) of Bouctouche; his niece, Lennix; his maternal grandmother, Marguerite Breau of Saint-Louis; his paternal grandfather, Alfred Fillmore of Rexton; as well as many aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.

Besides his mother, he was predeceased by his paternal grandmother, Althea Fillmore.

The family will receive condolences at Frenette Funeral and Cremation Centre, 88 Church Street, Moncton (858-1900) where a private funeral service will be celebrated on Monday December 27 at 4 pm. Public visiting hours are Monday from 11:30 am until 3 pm only. Due to the pandemic, the private funeral service will be streamed live; to view the funeral, go to his obituary on our Website. Face covering is mandatory, proof of vaccination and government issued identification card are required to enter the funeral centre, and social distancing is in effect. In memory of Chad, a contribution to the Friends of The Moncton Hospital (Neurology) would be appreciated.
