It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Catherine Cormier, 84, of Shediac, on Friday December 10, 2021, at Dr. Georges-L.-Dumont UHC. Born in Shediac, she was the daughter of the late Zoel and Marguerite (Gallant) Cormier. Prior to her retirement, she was a telephone operator, worked at Co-Op and owned and operated her own cleaning company.
She is survived by her two daughters: Joanne LeBlanc (Marc) of Moncton and Pauline Theriault (Kevin) of Steeves Mountain; three sisters: Dorine Belliveau (late Hector) of Shediac, Cecilia of Quebec and Rose Cormier (Hélène) of Shediac; two brothers: Jean of Alexandria, ON, and Robert (Gladys) of Kitchener, ON; three grandchildren: Alexandre, Samuel and Jasmine; former second husband, Paul Pellerin of Shediac; as well as several nieces and nephews.
Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Raymond (1965); three sisters: Doris, Aline and Paulette; four brothers: Maurille, Alyre, Francis and Aimé.
The family will receive condolences at Frenette Funeral and Cremation Center, 396 Main Street, Shediac (532-3297) where the funeral service will be celebrated on Monday May 16 at 3 pm. Visiting hours are Monday from 1 pm until time of funeral. Face covering is suggested. The funeral service will be streamed live; to view the funeral, go to her obituary on our Website. Interment will be in the St-Joseph cemetery in Shediac.
