Robert Lee, 74, originally from Bonny River, NB, and most recently from Edmonton, AB, transitioned peacefully into the arms of God, on Saturday, December 4th, 2021, at the Moncton Hospital, in NB.

Born in St Stephen, he was the eighth Of nine children of the late Arthur and Helen (Justason) Lee, and the proud father of his two beautiful daughters: Daneka (Leonard) and Charmaine (Dyan) Lee.

A deeply spiritual and independent man, he was a nomad by nature and lived his life based on the callings of his heart. And as a travelling salesman, over the course of his lifetime, he roamed from one end of Canada to the other.

A jovial, lovable, and fun-loving fellow, he made friends easily wherever he went. When he made friends, his heart connected deeply with them, and they became his family members away from home. Amongst his many "sibling-friends", in random order, were Sofia, Sonia, Ann, Jack, Claire, Stewart, Peter, Yves, Carole L., Karon, Sharon, Louise and Michael, Carole P., Nicole, Gay, Victor, Rev. Wayne, and of course his dear friend, Fern, with whom he shared some of his final months with.

There are innumerable others (you know who you are), too many to name here, but in the end, he had a special place in his heart for each of them. They, along with his family, will definitely miss him, his jokes and all the deep conversations they had, for a long time to come.

Robert was a man of simplicity, but nonetheless, he was strong of heart, full of courage, honest and authentically straightforward! He had a persistence and a determination that got him through life and through the many obstacles strewn across his path. And despite the many challenges he had to conquer, he loved life. He loved people. He loved animals — he would never miss an opportunity to snuggle (or snuffle the head of) any four-legged, fur baby, canine or feline, that crossed his path! But most of all, after his daughters, their partners, and his grandsons — Sébastien Lapierre and Skye Arsenault — he loved God!

This love shined through his soft, beautiful liquid blue eyes, his infectious smile and his deep, on-going, lifelong journey of self-discovery and personal growth.

By Divine grace and his personal sheer will (no one was stronger willed than Robert!), he made it home to be with his family, regardless of the countless health challenges that plagued him towards the end.

He will be deeply missed by his daughters, his sons-in-law, his grandsons, his plethora of close friends, as well as his remaining siblings & their spouses: Sheldon Lee (Joan), Gary (Diane) Lee, Betty Sampson (Joe), Jeanette (Wick) Dobbin and Sharon (Brian) Hoyt; a brother-in-law, Alfred Barker (Josephine); his numerous nephews and nieces: Stephen Lee, Brenda Lee; Jocelyn Jaitner, Sherry Thorne, Penny Hanley; Allen Lee, Anita Hodgkin; Brenda Wasson, Linda Wallace; Deanna Dobbin, Christa Hiltz; Matthew Hoyt, Bethany Harrison, Joel Hoyt; Mark Barker, Brian Barker, Jackie LeBlanc; Terry Lee, Wanda Harrison and Lynn Orser, as well as many great-nephews and great-nieces.

Besides his parents and his late wife, the mother of his children, Phyllis (Cormier) Lee, he was pre-deceased by his siblings: Arthur Lee (Yvonne), Lawrence a.k.a. Rusty Lee (Nedra), and Josephine Barker (Alfred); his brother-in-law Joe Sampson (Betty), his sisters-in-law: Yvonne Lee, Joan Lee and Nedra Lee, as well as his niece, Judy Lee.

There won’t be any viewing or services at this time, however his daughters & family would love to hear any good memories you have of him or see any pictures you would like to share that can be added on his Facebook page: https://www.facebook.com/robyrt.lea

Instead of a donation to any particular charity, if you feel so inclined, it is his daughters’ belief that he would love you to do an act of kindness or make a donation to a person or pet that you dearly love. In the end, that is all we take with us to the other side. It is the legacy he has left in our hearts: a bright, shiny radiance of love. Let’s make the world around us brighter together, by reflecting the love he shone so joyfully upon us!
