Louis Cormier, 97, of Moncton, passed away on Sunday November
28, 2021, at the Villa du Repos. Born in Sainte-Marie-de-Kent, he was
the son of the late Hector and Annie (Melanson)
Cormier.
He was the past owner of Cormier Monuments and a school bus
driver. Louis also passed collection at Our Lady of the Assumption
Cathedral in Moncton.
He was predeceased by two daughters: Annette and Lucie, one
grandson and two great-grandsons, all from the
United-States. He was the last surviving member of his
immediate family.
He was predeceased by his wife, Gladys nee Melanson (2019);
an infant daughter; and eight siblings: Lorraine, Irenée,
Noël, Albert, Jeanne, Anita, Gérard, and
Huberte.
In accordance with his wishes, there will be no visitation at
the funeral centre. The funeral service will be celebrated at Frenette
Funeral and Cremation Centre, 88 Church Street, Moncton (858-1900) on
Monday December 6 at 11 am. Face covering is mandatory,
and proof of vaccination and government issued identification card are
required to enter the funeral centre. Interment will be
at the Notre-Dame-du-Mont-Carmel cemetery in Sainte-Marie-de-Kent. In
memory of Louis, a contribution can be made to a charity of the
donor’s choice.
