Sister Angéline Léger, ndsc, passed
away following a long illness on Friday November 26, 2021, at the
Motherhouse of the Religieuses de Notre-Dame-du-Sacré-Coeur
in Moncton. She was 95 years old and in the
66th year of her religious life. Born in
Memramcook, she was the daughter of the late Sifroid and Ida (Cormier)
Léger.
She was the last survivor of her immediate family. Besides
her religious family, she is survived by several nephews and
nieces.
Besides her parents, she was predeceased by five brothers:
Léandre, Gérard, Ulysse, Roméo and
Léonard; 2 sisters: Dorilla and Sr Rita,
n.d.s.c.
Sister Angéline will be resting at Frenette
Funeral and Cremation Centre, 88 Church Street, Moncton (858-1900) on
Tuesday November 30 from 2 to 4 pm only. Due to the pandemic, face
coverings are mandatory and social distancing regulations are in
effect. A funeral mass by invitation will be celebrated in the chapel
of the Motherhouse of the Religieuses de
Notre-Dame-du-Sacré-Coeur in Moncton on Wednesday December
1st at 10 am. The funeral mass will be streamed live and may be viewed
