Annie Richard, 101, of Cap-Pelé and formerly of Portage, passed away peacefully on Sunday November 7, 2021, at the Dr. Georges-L. Dumont UHC. Born in Sydney, NS, she was the daughter of the late Alphée and Margaret (Atkinson) Bourque.

She will be sadly missed by her three daughters: Marguerite Bourque (Clarence) of Shediac, Antoinette Doiron (Normand) of Cap-Pelé and Juliette Richard of Moncton; one sister, Yvonne Brun of Shediac; five grandchildren: Roland, Patricia, Danielle, Lorna and Marco; six great-grandchildren: Jonathan, Stéphanie, Véronique, Cody, Gilles and Pierre, as well as many nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by her husband, Dosithé Richard (1966); an infant son, Alfred "Freddy" (1945); one sister, Louise Angevine; three brothers: Fred Burke, Ralston Burke and Arthur Burke.

The family will receive condolences at Frenette Funeral and Cremation Centre, 2642, Acadie Road, Cap-Pelé (577-3297), on Friday from 9 am until time of departure (10:45 am). The funeral will be celebrated at Ste-Thérèse-d’Avila, 2648 Acadie Road, Cap-Pelé on Friday November 12, 2021, at 11 am. Due to the new regulations, face covering is mandatory, and proof of vaccination and government issued identification card are required to enter the church and the funeral centre. Interment will be in Ste-Thérèse-d’Avila cemetery, Cap-Pelé.

In memory of Annie, a contribution to the Beausejour Family Crisis Resource Centre or to the Cap-Pelé parish cemetery would be appreciated.
