Désiré Goguen, 74, of Moncton, passed
away on Saturday October 23, 2021 at the Dr. Georges-L.-Dumont UHC.
Born in Grande-Digue, he was the son of the late Marcel and Rita
(Léger) Goguen.
Prior to his retirement, Désiré was
employed at the Université de Moncton and the Shediac
Detention Centre as a cook.
He is survived by his common-law wife of 21 years, Anita
Melanson; one daughter, Julie Doiron (Joël); two
grandchildren: Dominique and Miguel; two sisters: Rachelle Goguen
(late John) and Claire Fitzpatrick (late Bill); one brother, Jacques;
as well as his nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by four brothers: Bernard, Camille,
Normand, and Paul.
In accordance to his wishes, there will be no visitation. The
funeral service will be celebrated at Frenette Funeral and Cremation
Centre, 88 Church Street, Moncton (858-1900) on Friday October 29 at 2
pm. Due to the new regulations, face covering is
mandatory, and proof of vaccination and government issued
identification card are required to enter the funeral
centre. Interment will be at La Visitation cemetery,
Grande-Digue. In memory of Désiré, a
contribution to the CHU Dumont Foundation (oncology) would be
appreciated.
