It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Sara Arsenault, 93, of Shediac, on Monday October 25, 2021, at the Dr. Georges-L.-Dumont UHC. Born in Shediac, she was the daughter of the late Alexandre and Alanda (Dupuis) LeBlanc. Sara was a member of the Ladie’s Auxiliary Royal Canadian Legion Branch #33.

She is survived by her six children: René (Murielle) of Moncton, Donald (Beryl), Linda Richard, Jean (Joanne) all of Shediac, Frank "Sunny" (Thérèse) of Grand-Barachois and Denis (Mai) of Grande-Digue; 17 grandchildren; 31 great-grandchildren; seven great-great-grandchildren, as well as many nieces and nephews. She was the last surviving member of her immediate family.

She was predeceased by her husband, François (1985); son, Paul (2008); seven siblings: Thaddée "Ted", Albénie "Ben", Léandre, Zacharie, Ozzy, Delphine "Dellie" LeBlanc and René.

The family will receive condolences at Frenette Funeral and Cremation Centre, 396 Main Street, Shediac (532-3297) where the funeral service will be celebrated on Friday October 29 at 11 am. Visiting hours are Thursday from 7 to 9pm and Friday from 10 am until time of funeral. Due to the new regulations, face covering is mandatory, and proof of vaccination and government issued identification card will be required to enter the funeral center. Interment will be in the St-Joseph cemetery in Shediac.
