It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Nicole Donelle, 69, of Shediac and formerly of Petit-Cap, on Sunday October 24, 2021, at the Dr. Georges-L.-Dumont UHC. Born in Moncton, she was the daughter of the late Omer and Faustine (Melanson) Boudreau.

Nicole’s purpose in life was to be a devoted mom and especially a devoted grandmother. She enjoyed camping at Ocean View and left a mark everywhere she went.

She will be sadly missed by her loving spouse of 20 years, Gerald Bourgeois; two children: Bobby (Susan Goguen) of Petit-Cap and Guy (Nicole Donelle) of Cap-Pelé; two step-children: Gilles Bourgeois (Julie) of Cap-Pelé and Martine Kelsey (Justin) of Hamilton, ON; three sisters: Bernadette Breau (late Aldoria) of Petit-Cap, Marina Landry (Eugene) of Petit-Cap and Sonia Doiron (Eric) of Cap-Pelé; one brother, Normand Boudreau (Odette) of Petit-Cap; three grandchildren: Celine LeBlanc (Mathieu), Yannick and Alexane; four step-grandchildren: Josiah Kelsey, Janie Bourgeois, Ghislain Bourgeois and Janelle Bourgeois, as well as many nieces and nephews.

Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Raoul Donelle (1980).

The family will receive condolences at the Frenette Funeral and Cremation Centre, 2642, Chemin Acadie, Cap-Pelé, on Wednesday from 7 to 9 pm and Thursday from 9:15 am until time of departure (10:15 am). The funeral will be held at Ste-Thérèse d'Avila Church, 2648 Acadie Road, Cap-Pelé, on Thursday October 28, 2021, at 10:30 am. Due to the new regulations, face covering are mandatory, and proof of vaccination and government issued identification card will be required to enter the funeral centre and church. Interment will be in Ste-Thérèse-d’Avila cemetery, Cap-Pelé.

In memory of Nicole, a contribution to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of New Brunswick or donor’s choice would be appreciated.
