Loretta LeBlanc, 90, of Moncton, passed away on Tuesday October 12, 2021 at the Villa du Repos.  Born in Moncton, she lived on Harper’s Lane for 70 years.  She was the daughter of the late Alyre and Marie Elise Bastarache.

Loretta is survived by her loving husband of 67 years, René; five children:  Gisèle Williston (John) of Moncton, Michel (Lisa) of Pictou, NS, Monique Richard (Raymond) of Dieppe, Léonie LeBlanc (Paul Bourque) of Grand-Barachois and Serge (Sue Léger) of Dieppe;  one daughter-in-law, Cheryl LeBlanc of Saint-Antoine;  six grandchildren:  Mario, Marc, Julie, Chanda, Mathieu and Justin; seven great-grandchildren:  Aiden, Lucas, Brayden, Jacob, Chloe, London and Noah; as well as many nieces and nephews.  She was the last surviving member of her immediate family.

She was predeceased by two sons:  Marcel and Jean-Claude; three sisters:  Léona, Aurélie and Lina.

Loretta was a housewife with seven children.  In her earlier years, she worked at Imprimerie Acadienne and Aberdeen Daycare for children with special needs.  She volunteered for many years at St-Vincent-de-Paul and was a member of a few local choirs.

The family would like to thank the staff of Villa du Repos for the excellent care provided in the last six years.

Due to the pandemic, a funeral service will be celebrated at a later date.  Interment will be in Frenette Columbarium, Moncton.  In memory of Loretta, a contribution to the Alzheimer Society, the NB Heart and Stroke Foundation or the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated.  Funeral arrangements are in the professional care of Frenette Funeral and Cremation Centre, Moncton (858-1900).
