The family of Edouard Duplessis, 85, of l’Auberge du Soleil, Dieppe and formerly of Moncton, is saddened to announce his passing on Sunday, October 10, 2021 at The Moncton Hospital.

Born in Bouctouche, NB, he was the son of the late Antoine and Annette (Cormier) Duplessis.

He is survived by his two children: Anthony "Tony" (Nicole) and Jeannine Arsenault (Don Chapman), all of Moncton; two grandsons: Michael and Marcel; one great-granddaughter: Kelci; two brothers: Andy (Camilia), and Laurie, all of Moncton; sister-in-law, Denise Duplessis of Moncton; and by several nieces and nephews.

The family would like to thank the staff at l’Auberge du Soleil for the wonderful care Edouard received.

In addition to his parents, Edouard was predeceased by his wife: Edith (LeBlanc) Duplessis; siblings: Albert, Alice, Rita, Lorraine, Irène, Gérald and Isidore.

The family will receive condolences at Frenette Funeral and Cremation Centre, 88 Church Street, Moncton (858-1900) where the funeral service will be celebrated on Thursday, October 14, 2021 at 2 pm. Visiting hours are Thursday from 1 pm until time of service. Due to the new regulations, face covering are mandatory, and proof of vaccination and government issued identification card will be required to enter the funeral centre.

Interment will be at Our Lady of Calvary cemetery in Dieppe.

In memory of Edouard, a contribution to the Canadian Diabetes Association would be appreciated.
