Cheryl Anne Cyr (nee Anderson), 69, of Dieppe and formerly of Shediac Cape, passed away on Monday October 4, 2021, at the Dr. Georges-L-Dumont UHC. Born in Halifax, NS, she was the daughter of the late Ronald and Lorna (Dempsey) Anderson.
She is survived by her loving husband of 46 years, Bernard; two children: Christian (Cynthia) and Jennifer Landry (Justin), both of Moncton; three grandchildren: Cole, Catherine, and Vera; five siblings: Steve Anderson, Louise Collins, Scott Anderson (Cathy), Rebecca Gray (Brian), and Margo Briggs (Steve), all of Halifax, NS; as well as several nieces and nephews. She will also be dearly missed by her many friends and the extended Cyr family.
Cheryl was known for her vibrant smile and generosity of spirit. Her thoughtful and caring demeanour touched everyone she encountered. She shared a passion for travel with her husband and sisters, photography, hosting friends and family, and most recently, her grandchildren.
Her family would like to thank the staff in the Oncology ward who cared for her in her final days with grace and dignity.
By request there will be no visiting hours at the funeral centre. A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
In memory of Cheryl, a contribution to the Atlantic Cancer Research institute is appreciated.
