It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Dr.
Albert L. Cyr of Dieppe, a passionate psychologist and ambassador who
was closely involved in recent advances in mental health care in the
province. He passed away peacefully on Friday, October 1, 2021, at the
age of 76, surrounded by his children.
Born in Grand Falls, he was the son of the late Wilfrid and
Fernande (Levesque) Cyr. He is survived by his four children:
Noémie (Mathieu-Julien), Jérémie
(Janelle), Tristan and Gaël (Angela); two grandchildren:
Kaiden and Eli; his sister, Raymonde; and his aunt, Sister
Monique.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his
brother, Hermel.
Due to the current COVID-19 pandemic, visitation at the
funeral home has been postponed to a later date. In memory of Albert,
the family would appreciate memorial donations to the Canadian Mental
Health Association.
