It is with regret that we announce the death of Mr. Gaëtan Doyle, at the age of 89 years and 5 months, on September 28, 2021, at the Edmundston Regional Hospital. Husband of the late Françoise Thériault and the son of the late Raymond Doyle and the late Albertine Plante.

He leaves behind his children: Julie of Sherbrooke, Bruno (Giulia) of Ottawa; his grandchildren: Kellen, Maëlle and Desmond; his grand-grandson, Valor, his sources of happiness, also his sister, Sr. Raymonde Doyle (sister of Charity), Quebec and several nephews and nieces.

He now rests with his parents, his wife, his brother Jean Marie, his sisters Jacqueline Grant, Berthe Lapointe, Sr. Jeanne-Mance (sister of Charity).

Gaetan taught for 35 years in Shediac, Barachois, Memramcook, St-Léonard and St-Basile as Director or in charge of science. He did a lot of volunteer work in catechesis and in Catholic action groups. Gifted with a good voice, he was a member of many choirs and director in several parishes.

The family will receive condolences at the Frenette Funeral and Cremation Center, 396 Main Street, Shediac on Wednesday October 13 from 6 to 9 p.m. and Thursday October 14 from 10 to 10:45 a.m. His funeral will be at St-Joseph Church, 415 Main Street, Shediac, on Thursday October 14th at 11:00 am.

Due to the new regulations, face coverings are mandatory, proof of vaccine and ID are required to enter the funeral home or church.

In memory of Gaëtan, a contribution to a charity of the donor's choice would be appreciated.

Cremation and funeral arrangements are under the direction of Center funéraire et de crémation Frenette, Shediac (532-3297).
