At the Faubourg du Mascaret, on Saturday October 2, 2021, at the age of 91, passed away Anita Cormier of Moncton, formerly of Cap-Pelé. Born in Cap-Pelé, she was the daughter of the late Alfred "Fred" and Annie (LeBlanc) Cormier.

She is survived by her four children: Alfreda Duguay (Omer) of Cap-Pelé, Léo-Paul (Joanne) of Robichaud, Linda Babineau (Louis) of Shediac and Nancy Doiron (Maurice Gaudet) of Grand-Barachois; three brothers: Alfred (Maria) of Dieppe, Emery (Jean) of Five Island, NS, and Alonzo (Ellen) of Five Island, NS; eight sisters: Prémilia Doiron (Ovila) of Cap-Pelé, Dorilla Brun (Rhéal) of Grand-Barachois, Florence Bourque (Romuald) of Petit-Cap, Roseanne Waite (late Osborne) of St-Stephen, Léona Goguen (Léonce) of Cap-Pelé, Francine Cormier (Joe Cormier) of Shediac, Délima Maillet (late Alphonse) of St-Stephen and Corinne Goguen (late Albert) of Five Island, NS; several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

Anita was predeceased by her husband, Léo (2003); one sister, Victorine; three brothers: Léo, Oswald and Alcide.

The family will receive condolences at the Frenette Funeral and Cremation Centre, 2642, Chemin Acadie, Cap-Pelé, on Wednesday from 7 to 9 pm and Thursday from 9:30 am until time of departure (10:15 am). The funeral will be held at Ste-Thérèse d'Avila Church, 2648 Acadie Road, Cap-Pelé, on Thursday October 7, 2021, at 10:30 am. Due to the new regulations, face covering are mandatory, and proof of vaccination and government issued identification card will be required to enter the funeral center and church. Interment will be in Ste-Thérèse-d’Avila cemetery, Cap-Pelé.
