It is with great sadness that we
announce the passing of Colombe Babineau of Moncton, 2 days before her
92nd birthday, on Friday September 24, 2021 at
the Dr. Georges-L.-Dumont UHC. Born in St. Anselme, she was the
daughter of the late Alphée and Eva (LeBlanc)
Richard.
She is survived by her four
children, Jocelyne Wilt (Walter), Roger (Lynn), Paul (Anne) all of
Moncton and Louise Surette (Raymond Cormier) of Shediac; her sister,
Clémentine Richard of Moncton; her two sisters-in-law, Mae
Richard and Lena Richard both of Moncton; by several grandchildren,
great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Besides her parents, she was
predeceased by her husband, Gérard (1974); her son-in-law,
Frank Surette, her siblings, Phyllis Léger, Léo,
Louis and Guy.
The family will receive
condolences at Frenette Funeral and Cremation Centre, 88 Church
Street, Moncton (858-1900) on Thursday October 14 from 7 to 9 pm only.
In accordance with her wishes, there will be no funeral
service. Due to the new regulations, face
covering is mandatory, and proof of vaccination and government issued
identification card will be required to enter the funeral
center.
Interment will be at Our Lady of
Calvary cemetery, Dieppe.
In memory of Colombe, a
contribution to the Alzheimer Society would be
