Aldérice DeVarennes, 84, of Dieppe, passed away
peacefully, surrounded by his loving family, on Thursday, August
26th, 2021, at the Dr. George-L Dumont UHC.
Born in St-Paul, he was the son of the late Firmin and Lydia (Cormier)
DeVarennes.
He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Lorraine, born
Bourgeois; three daughters: Hélène DeVarennes
(Paul) of Shediac, Francine Boudreau (Daniel) of Grande-Digue and
Gisèle DeVarennes (Jamie) of Dieppe; one son, Normand
(Sandra) of Moncton; five sisters: Mabel Charman (late Jack) of
Dieppe, Lorette Peters (Wayne) of Fredericton, Yvette LeBlanc (late
Yvon) of Moncton, Marie-Mai (Albert) of Grande-Digue, and Lucie Dupuis
(Ulysse) of Shediac; four brothers: Gérald (late Mary) of
Montreal, Leonard (late Florence) of St-Paul, Camille (Lise) of
Montreal and Walter (Marie-Rita) of Saint-Antoine; several
grandchildren, great grandchildren, sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law,
nephews and nieces.
Aldérice was predeceased by his siblings: infant
Mabel, Gladys Dupuis, Aline Bourgeois, Irène Girouard,
Alcide, Clifford, Normand, and Willie.
Throughout his life, Aldérice showed deep love for
his family and embraced hard work. His pastimes included experiencing
nature, traveling and creating with wood. His love and his wisdom will
be missed.
The family will receive condolences at Frenette Funeral and
Cremation Centre, 396 rue Main, Shediac, on Sunday August 29th, from 2
pm to 4 pm.
The funeral service will be held in the Chapel of the same
Funeral Centre, on Monday, August 30th at 11am.
The family would appreciate face
covering.
