It is with deep sadness that the family announces the passing
of Yvon Desharnais at the age of 79, on Sunday August 15, 2021 at his
residence in Dieppe. Born in Saint-Rosaire, QC, he was the son of the
late Albert Desharnais and late Antoinette Levasseur.
He leaves behind his three children: Chantal, Dani, and
Cindy; his grandchildren: Nevan, Sabrina, Amine, Jayda, Alie and Chad;
and his great-grandchildren: Zahara, Niyah, and Khalil. He will also
be greatly missed by his brother: Réal (Ghislaine Houle);
his sisters: Lisette Caron (Roger), and Nicole; his brothers-in-law:
George (Fernande Poirier), and Laurie (Huberte Arseneault); his
sisters-in-law: Doris Saulnier (late Normand), Marie Boudreau (late
Blair), Jeannette Bernard (late Raymond), and Régina
Hébert; as well as 23 nephews and 26 nieces.
Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his wife, Alice
Hébert (2009); and his two sisters: Lise and Ginette
(Jacques Jenkins).
The family wishes to thank the medical team who with their
combined support and caring provided Yvon with many additional years
of life. We are truly grateful for their care and compassion over the
years. Thank you.
The family will receive condolences at Frenette Funeral and
Cremation Centre, 88 Church Street, Moncton (858-1900) on Thursday
from 7 to 9 pm only. Due to the pandemic, face coverings are
recommended and social distancing regulations are in effect. The
funeral mass will be celebrated at St. Augustine’s R.C.
church, 340 Dominion Street, Moncton, on Friday August 20 at 2:30 pm.
Interment will be in Our Lady of Calvary cemetery, Dieppe. In memory
