It is with great sadness that on Thursday, August
12th, 2021, at the Dr. Georges-L. Dumont UHC,
passed away peacefully Marcel Roy, also known as Beef.
Marcel was a kind-hearted man. He was a truck driver who
always went above and beyond to help those around him, had a passion
for auto mechanics, loved driving his ATV, and adored hunting. He had
obtained his moose hunting licence for the 2021 season.
Marcel is survived by his mother, Béatrice Roy of
Shediac and formerly of Haute-Aboujagane; his two children:
Josée Roy (Justin Richard) of Dieppe and Marc Roy of
Shediac Cape; his two sisters: Diane Mazerolle (Marcel) of Notre-Dame
and Thérèse Ouellette (Roger Bourque) of Shediac
Cape; his godson, Kevin Ouellette (Chantal) and their son Miguel of
Haute-Aboujagane and Aunt Stella Roy of Saint-John. He is also
survived by many cousins and friends.
He was predeceased by his sister at a young age and his
father, Albénie Roy (1993).
A big thank you to Dr. Rhéal Boudreau as well as
the staff from the palliative care unit for their exceptional care and
professionalism during these difficult times.
The family will receive condoléances at Frenette
Funeral and Cremation Centre, 396 Main Street, Shediac, on Tuesday,
August 17th from 2 pm to 4 pm and from 6 pm to
8 pm. A private chapel service will be held on Wednesday, August
18th for family members

Léon Richard Oncology Centre or to the Canadian Cancer
Society would be greatly appreciated.
