Kevin Byrne Melanson, 59, of Shediac, passed away on Monday August 2, 2021, at his residence. Born in Dartmouth, NS, he was the son of Byrne and Jeannette (Richard) Melanson of Shediac.

Kevin was a jack of all trades who loved to help family and friends over the years with any given project. He enjoyed sailing, curling, spending time at the Pointe-du-Chêne wharf and loved his community at Indian Point. He worked at the port authority at the Pointe-du-Chêne wharf.

Besides his parents, he is survived by a brother, Dr. Patrick Melanson (Allison) of Montreal, QC, and Jennifer Melanson (Steve Bird) of Dartmouth, NS; as well as his nieces and nephews: Bradley, Taylor, Kaitlin and Nyla.

As per Kevin’s wishes, there will be no visitation and no funeral service. Interment will be at Our Lady of Calvary cemetery, Dieppe. In memory of Kevin, a contribution to the Diabetes Association would be appreciated.
